Introducing a new, EASY way to FUNDRAISE
We know that it’s not easy asking friends and family to ‘sponsor’ your Pub2Pub fun run challenge, even if you’re running for a good cause. So, we’ve come up with a new and easier way to help with your fundraising – introducing ‘VIRTUAL RUNNERS’.
Now, if your friends and family sign up as Virtual Runners, they can be part of your Team, without having to run in the race. Registration for Virtual Runners is just 50% of the standard entry fee for the 13KM event. You even receive an e-Race Bib (via e-Mail) so you really feel part of the Team, but of course, it won’t include a timing chip.
In terms of qualifying for the Top Teams Challenge, a Virtual Runner registration will be counted as 0.5 in your Team’s tally. So, for example, if your Team is in the running for the $2,000 Top Teams Challenge 1st prize, and there are 80 in your Team, that number will increase by 0.5 with every Virtual Runner you add. One Virtual Team Member and your tally rises to 80.5. Add another Virtual Runner and the tally goes up to 81… and so on.
As always, all registration fees will go towards supporting this year’s worthy local charities and Rotary’s community programs.
